Hi! Welcome to the Cheers website! I’m Phil. I was raised in Manchester, a city in the North West of England. It has a famous football team called Manchester United, maybe you have heard of it! I came to Japan in 2002 to teach English, and I live here in Okayama city with my wife, two daughters, and our crazy dog Maple. I graduated from Middlesex University with a degree in Psychology and Philosophy and worked in Manchester and London before coming to Japan. Since living here, I have gained invaluable experience and knowledge in teaching English to people of all ages - from children through university, to adults. In my free time I like playing football with my friends and team mates, watching all kinds of movies, and finding new and interesting things about Japan! Here at Cheers we teach children and adults to start speaking English from scratch, pass English tests, and learn useful conversation skills. We can help you to speak English confidently and naturally in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. My name is Robert. It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm from the midwest of Canada. My hometown is a small city about the size of Kurashiki. It's called Saskatoon. There is a beautiful river running through the heart of the city so Okayama feels a lot like home to me. I have been living here for almost 16 years now. My wife Rieko, our sons Finn and Nic, our daughter May, and I live in Soja near Kinojo Castle. I have a wide variety of interests. I love movies and books and sports of all kinds. I also enjoy making home movies. Most of all, I enjoy time with my family!

夫のロバートと三人の子供達の五人家族です。

毎日子供達に振り回されながらもワイワイと楽しみながら子育て真っ最中！

子供達はカナダで5ヶ月ほど公立の小学校や幼稚園に通うというミッションをやり遂げてくれました。

これが子供達にとって最近の一番の偉業です！ 楽しい事大変な事、発見やおかしなイベントと色々ありましたが、成長が見られる濃い5ヶ月でした。

私自身のことで言えば、今思えば小さい頃から英語を聴くのが好きだったようです。

英語版でセサミストリートをよく見ていまいた。もちろん意味は分からないまま。

英語のサウンドが好きだったようです。

学生時代、英語は好きでしたが掘り下げて学ぶまでではありませんでした。

その後旅行業につき海外旅行が趣味で、一人でフラリと行ったりもしていました。

そこで英語が話せてコミュニケーションが取れたらもっともっと楽しさが増すと実感し、英会話を始めました。

友人にも恵まれ一緒に学び失敗しながらもコツコツ私のペースで長く続ける事が出来ました。

チアーズ英会話でも楽しみながら一歩一歩学ぶお手伝いが出来ればと思っています。

続ける事が大変な時もあると思います。私にもありました。

ペースを落としても良いと思います。自分なりの早さでいいと思います。

続ける事をやめないでいられるお手伝いができたら いいなと思っています。

こんにちは。私は香川県高松市出身のガジオン瑞穂です。

私が初めて英語に触れたのは、高校生の時にカナダにホームステイした時です。それ以来、英語を喋ることに憧れて、一生懸命勉強してきました。

みなさんもきっとそうだと思いますが、英語を勉強していると、全く上達していない気がしたり、もう辞めようかな・・と思う瞬間が何度かあると思います。
